Corporate Partner Spotlight: Marmol Radziner

Design Partner Ron Radziner believes that the work of building empathy, historical understanding, and striving for equity never ends, and it belongs in the workplace. Radziner says their partnership with Facing History "has really been a gift to the firm."

Marmol Radziner began their partnership with Facing History & Ourselves with a gift to the Los Angeles office, which led to the agency’s first engagement with our corporate sessions promoting workplace community building. The renowned LA-based design and architecture firm, which employs over 200 people in the fields of architecture, interior design, fabrication, and construction, has embraced Facing History’s approach to gathering as a virtual “learning community” year after year. They have focused in these enrichment sessions on the history of systemic racism, recognizing implicit bias, and developing empathetic leadership. Having conversations about creating space and belonging was not a radical shift for them; the design firm is known for intentionality and integrity.

Design Partner Ron Radziner believes that the work of building empathy, historical understanding, and striving for equity never ends, and it belongs in the workplace. “Our partnership with Facing History has really been a gift to the firm. Of course we’re so happy to support the work in classrooms, but we’ve also gained so much from the partnership. The conversations Facing History’s team has facilitated are incredibly enriching and thoughtful, and they’ve really allowed us to slow down and show up together in a different way, an important way. I think people really crave the kind of connection it builds, to ourselves and to each other.”
